Parent–Teacher Partnership

We work together with parents and guardians in the development of the child. Every morning when a child is dropped in the school the parent or guardian is expected to inform the teacher on the condition of the child and any other information the caregiver/teacher will need for the better care of the child. At the close of each day, when necessary, a Care Report is placed in each child’s bag for the attention of the parent or guardian. The daily report gives a brief account of the condition in which the child came to school, his/her conduct or behavior during the day, observations the teacher/caregiver might have made during the day and any other matter that requires the attention of the parent or guardian. Parents or guardians are therefore required to always read the Care Report and respond to it accordingly. We are committed to monitor the progress of pupils constantly through observation and assessments. Parents are always welcome to discuss their ward’s profile reports as well as join in bonding activities. Parents should however book appointment with the schools administration to avoid interruption of class/school activities. A progress/transition record is prepared at the end of every academic year and passed on to your child’s new class teacher to aid smooth transition.

Open Days & Meetings

Open days are held once a term to foster interaction between parents and teachers and also to allow the parent or guardian an opportunity to review the work of the ward. Where a parent needs to contact a teacher or pass an urgent information to the school, the parent is advised to contact the office for the information to be passed on to the teacher/caregiver. This is because teachers and care givers are not allowed to attend to their phones during class hours. Teachers are encouraged to give their utmost attention to the children during school hours. Meetings may be convened as and when necessary and due notice will be given

Pick-Up & Child Safety

A school bus will be acquired to drop off children after closing at a fee. Until this is done, parents are required to make arrangement for picking up their kids after school hours. School closes at 2:30 and children should be picked up by 3:30pm. Should a parent have a challenge in picking up their wards after school hours, they should inform the school ahead of time. The school should be informed of the person to pick up the child after school. Where for any reason a different person is to pick up the child, please inform the school/class teacher with relevant details for the safety and security of the child. Where in doubt, the school will make reasonable effort to contact the parent to confirm the identity of the person picking up the child.

After-School Care

Arrangement may be made for parents who for some reasons cannot pick up their children with the prescribed hours for a fee. After school care is from 3:30pm to 5:30pm. Children who stay for after school care should be given extra snacks, diapers (where necessary) and change clothes.

Child Utilities & Personal Items

Parents/guardians should ensure that they have enough diapers (minimum 3) for kids who have not been potty trained. Where it becomes necessary, the school may supply a child with a diaper and charge the parent/guardian with the cost.

• Each child should have a plastic bag, preferably a zip-lock bag, in their school bag.
• Each child should have a clean face towel and handkerchief in the bag each day.
• Each child should carry water in a clean water bottle for personal use.

Lunch Break: 12:30 pm – 1:30 pm
